March numbers are maybe complete. The Dothan Multiple Listing System sold more than eleven percent more homes March this year than last year. The best news is these homes sold at more than an eleven percent increase in average price. Average days on market for homes sold this March was only one day more than the average for March last year. Maybe people are taking advantage of the tax credit. If you are plannig to take advantage of the tax credit, the home must be under contract by April 30,2010 and close by June 10 with the exception of some military buyers. With the large inventory, low interest rates, and the tax credit we will probably never find a better time to buy.
