Don't forget! Up front mortgage insurance fees are changing for FHA loans assigned a case number on and after April 5, 2010. The fee will change from 1.75% to 2.25%. On a $100,000 loan this would up the fee $500. Normally this fee is figured into your loan amount and on this same loan will up monthly payments about $2.75 a month.

Case numbers are assigned after a purchase agreement is received by your mortgage company. April 5, 2010 is a Monday. Case numbers must be assigned on or before this coming Friday, April 2. Please don't wait until the last day.
